Hamburger Soup (Instant Pot)

1 lb grass fed ground beef

1/2 tbsp ghee or olive oil

1/2 onion, chopped

2 sticks celery, sliced

4 cloves garlic, chopped small

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 can diced tomatoes

2 cups chicken bone broth + 2 cups filtered water OR 4 cups chicken broth

45 small potatoes (3/4 pound), chopped

1/2 tsp ground basil

1/2 tsp ground oregano

1/4 tsp ground thyme

salt/pepper to taste


Add ghee, veggies (minus potatoes) and a couple pinches of salt and pepper to the instant pot and sauté for 2 minutes until gently softened.
Add beef and another pinch of salt and pepper and continue to sauté and break apart until browned.
Add potatoes, tomatoes and tomato paste, broth and seasoning and stir until combined.
Close lid, make sure valve is on sealing and pressure cook for 8 minutes
