Homemade Popcorn

  • Author: Heather Love
  • Total Time: 7 min
  • Yield: 1 large serving bowl 1x

Description

Homemade, easy, fresh popcorn!

Ingredients

Scale
  • tablespoons unrefined coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup popcorn kernels

Optional toppings:

  • Sprinkle of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt

  • Melted grass-fed butter

  • Pinch of ground turmeric

Instructions

In a medium to large pot, heat the coconut oil over medium-high heat.

Add the popcorn kernels and cover with a tight-fitting lid.

As the kernels begin to pop, gently shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning.

When the popping slows and there are several seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat to avoid scorching the bottom.

Pour into a large bowl and enjoy as is, or top with your favorite seasonings.
