Red Raspberry Leaf Tea Infusion

  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • Red raspberry leaf (dried) – 2 tablespoons

  • Nettles leaf (dried) – 1 tablespoon

  • Lemon balm (dried, optional) – 1 tablespoon

  • Dandelion root or leaf (dried) – 1–2 teaspoons

  • Ginger slice (fresh, optional) – 1 small slice

  • Lemon peel (fresh, optional) – 1 small strip

Instructions

1. Add herbs to a jar.
Place all dried herbs into a quart-sized mason jar or heat-safe pitcher.

2. Pour hot water over herbs.
Bring water to a boil, then let it cool slightly (about 1 minute).
Pour 4 cups (1 quart) of just-off-boiling water over the herbs, fully covering them.

3. Cover and steep.
Cover with a lid and let steep for 6–12 hours (overnight is ideal).
This long steep time helps extract minerals from the red raspberry leaf and nettles.

4. Strain.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean jar.

5. Store.
Refrigerate and use within 48 hours
