Soldiers & Eggs

Ingredients

1 egg
 1 slice of bread
 Grass-fed utter (or preferred alternative)


Instructions

  • Toast the bread.

  • While the bread is toasting, bring a small pot of water to a boil.

  • Once boiling, gently lower the egg into the water using a spoon.

  • Set a timer for 5 minutes — timing is key for a perfectly soft yolk.

  • When the timer goes off, immediately transfer the egg to cold water to stop the cooking.

  • Place the egg in an egg cup or holder (linked in post), crack the top with a spoon, and remove only the top portion of the shell.

  • Butter the toast and cut it into strips.

  • Dip your soldiers into the egg yolk and enjoy!
