Easy Kids Strawberry Smoothie

If you’re like me, you’re thinking of ways to sneak all the nutrients into your kids diet. Typically, smoothies are the easiest way to do the sneaking. All my kids want is a basic strawberry smoothie and I just want to sneak some extra nutrition in, so the kids and I found a smoothie we both approve of, this easy kids strawberry smoothie.

The ingredients are simple! A banana, some strawberries, kefir and filtered water. But wait, what did I sneak into this one? A liver capsule and some camu camu. They can’t taste the add in’s and it’s a win win!

Health Benefits of Kids Strawberry Smoothie:

Liver-liver is a powerhouse of nutrients! Rich in bio-available vitamin A and B vitamins that support eye and brain health, detoxifcation and energy levels. Liver is also amazing at supporting the immune system and is considered a great multi-vitamin alternative.

Camu Camu-This berry has more vitamin C in them than any other food on the planet! Think strong immune system and antioxidant support! Camu Camu can also help with mood support since vitamin C is a co-factor for tryptophan conversion to 5-hydroxytryptophan in seratonin production. Think less anxiety and depression! The anti-inflammatory properties of camu camu also benefits the heart, eyes, and teeth while fighting against oxidative stress within the body.

Kefir-This fermented milk is loaded with probiotics which strengthen the gut microbiome which then strengthens the body’s immune system. Also rich in calcium and vitamin D to strengthen bones while magnesium calms the nervous system.

Ginger-A strong anti-inflammatory which has been shown to reduce pain from arthritis and PMS. Also a great nerve and heart protector while also aiding in digestion.

To Make

Add all ingredients to a high powered blender. Mix and pour into your favorite glass with some fun toppings! We love to top with coconut shreds for the kids or bee pollen for the adults. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

1 banana

2 cups strawberries, frozen

1/2 cup kefir, can sub yogurt

1 small chunk raw ginger (1/2 tsp), can omit, but highly recommend!*

1 cup filtered water

1 capsule liver supplement, opened *optional

1 tsp camu camu powder, optional


Instructions

Add all ingredients to a high powered blender. Mix and pour into your favorite glass with some fun toppings! We love to top with coconut shreds for the kids or bee pollen for the adults. Enjoy!

Notes

*Cut up ginger and keep chunks in the freezer for easy smoothies!
