Easy Healthy Meatballs

These easy, healthy meatballs will be your kids new favorite weeknight meal on top of noodles and spaghetti sauce. If you are often wanting delicious, healthy and quick meals, this one is IT! These meatballs cover all the bases, takes 15 minutes to prep, and 15 minutes to bake. Dinner ready in 30 minutes with ingredients that you know are nourishing your whole family.

There are a few variations and options with this easy meatball recipe. For example, if you have a fresh onion and want to use it, great, if not, onion powder works great as well. You can also choose to make these meatballs with all ground beef, or half ground beef with half ground pork for a richer flavor. Alternatively, you can make with ground venison for more depth of flavor and nutrients. All the different options makes this recipe easily adaptable for your family and unique needs.

Health Benefits of Meatballs:

Grass fed beef is richer in nutrients compared to conventional beef, making it a healthier choice. It is high in omega 3’s which helps lower inflammation in the body and provides heart health benefits. Grass fed beef is high in vitamins A, E, B12, iron and zinc which provides a strong immune system and benefits your eye and skin health, just to name a few. Grass fed beef is high in conjugated linoleic acid, which provides cancer fighting properties, as well.

How to Make the Meatballs:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees farenheit.
In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together. Mixing with your hands mixes it well!
Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.
Lay a parchment paper or silicone cover on a baking sheet and add scooped and rounded meatballs to the pan, balls should be roughly 2 tbsp each.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve on top of spaghetti noodles and sauce, if desired!

Ingredients

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (can sub gluten free or regular breadcrumbs)

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded

1/4 cup milk of choice

1/2 pound ground pork (can sub ground beef)

1/2 pound ground beef

2 cloves garlic, chopped (can sub 1/2 tsp garlic powder)

2 eggs

1/2 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/2 onion, chopped (can sub 1/2 tsp onion powder)

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1 tsp worcestershire sauce (optional, but recommended)
