Dry Skin Brushing for Glowing Skin

in Beauty, Lifestyle, Wellness on 04/26/16

For years, I struggled with dry, flaky skin. I hated it. I longed for that silky, moisturized glow and was frustrated when lotions seemed to make my problem worst.

Thankfully, over the years, my skin has improved greatly! The combination of a better diet with quality fats, more vitamin D sunshine, and some simple beauty techniques, my skin has transformed. I no longer have dry skin. I actually hardly ever even need lotion. One of the best techniques I did for my skin was dry skin brushing. The firm bristles on the brush exfoliate the skin, and the gentle pressure improves blood circulation and stimulates the lymphatic system which eliminates toxins within the body and can improve cellulite. I have seen such a difference in my skin by dry brushing just a few times a week!

Benefits of Dry Brushing and Video!

Look for a natural (not synthetic) dry brush and brush upwards toward your heart starting around your feet. Afterward, jump in the shower to wash off any dead skin cells. If you like, add your favorite all natural lotion after to really lock in the moisture. You skin will be glowing in no time! You can find one here!

Hey Ines! Of course I remember you! Thank you so much and I love seeing all your beautiful photos as well 🙂
You can definitely dry brush every day. I do it before I take a shower, although sometimes I forget or am in a rush so I typically end up doing a few times a week. Hope this helps!

I’ve never done a podcast interview before, so I felt very nervous! Thankfully, I quickly warmed up. It was so fun sharing one of my favorite passions! I love encouraging other mom’s about this subject. While it may not be possible for everyone, if your mind is the only thing holding you back, I want to encourage you, your body was made for this and you have the strength within you.
