Who doesn’t love yogurt with fruit and granola for breakfast? Maybe a cowboy. I just can’t see a rough and tough cowboy eating this for breakfast…
Anyway, I love this breakfast! I bet you will too. This is a twist on your typical yogurt with fruit cup though. The chia seeds with the crushed fruit create more of a jam consistency which is why I called it blueberry chia jam yogurt.
Crush your favorite berries (I love blueberries) in a bowl and add your honey and soaked chia seeds. Add to your plain yogurt and top with granola. Enjoy!
PrintBlueberry Chia Jam Yogurt
- Yield: Serves 1
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- handful of fresh or frozen blueberries
- ½ tsp honey (look for raw, unfiltered)
- plain yogurt (look for rBST free)
- a healthy granola as topping
Instructions
- Let your chia seeds soak in filtered water for at least 10 minutes or overnight
- As your chia is soaking, in another bowl, mash up your blueberries with a fork. In this recipe I used frozen, but I let them soften for a few minutes
- After mashing, add your honey and continue to stir
- Add the chia seeds (they will have a gel like consistency to them) & stir until it begins to look like jam
- Add your healthy blueberry jam to the yogurt and top with granola.

Heather, great recipes. I can’t wait to try the Potato Kale Soup and I have never used jam in soaked oats…..sounds much easier and delicious. Keep those good recipes coming!
